Eurydice

Performed at Virginia Wesleyan University in Fall 2023

The inspiration for this show was love, letters, and loss. Working with a range of students, many of whom have yet to experience a tragic loss in their life, we wanted to create a space that was reminiscent of the source material for the fable. We created structures with colors similar to Greek theatre, while creating a space that was grounded in reality, and allowed for our audience to connect to our characters regardless of their own experience with loss. Using real letters, water, and sheet music helped to bridge the gap between the audience and our story. I served as Set Designer, Lighting Designer, Costumer Designer, and Technical Director.
